Once is a single due date. Daily comes back every day. Weekly lands on a chosen weekday. Monthly and yearly land on a day of the month — shorter months use the last day if you picked the 31st.

Completing a repeating task records that day in its history and rolls the due date forward. Completing a once-off marks it finished. You can undo today's completion from the Today screen.

If a due date passes without a completion, the task sits in Overdue on Today until you complete it. Completing it still logs the day you actually did it.
